Our Environement related project : Urban Forest Project :

We are promoting environmental activities. Green Communitree is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and environmental awareness. We are collaborating with a local military base to develop an Urban Forest Project, a transformative initiative that will enhance the environment, improve the well-being of military personnel and their families, and revitalize the community.

Project Overview

The Urban Forest Project aims to establish a thriving urban forest at the military site, encompassing a diverse array of native tree and plant species. By planting 5,000 trees, we will create a verdant oasis within the urban landscape, providing a multitude of benefits to the environment and the community. Till date we have planted 1000 trees.

Objectives

The Urban Forest Project will achieve the following objectives:

1. Environmental Enhancement:

• Improve air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen
• Reduce soil erosion and promote water retention
• Provide habitat for wildlife and enhance biodiversity

2. Community Well-being:

• Create a serene and aesthetically pleasing environment for military personnel and their families
• Reduce stress and improve mental health through exposure to nature
• Provide opportunities for recreation, exercise, and education

3. Community Revitalization:

• Beautify the military base and surrounding neighborhoods
• Enhance property values and attract visitors
• Foster a sense of community pride and ownership
